Three types of cassava dehydration machines used in cassava products processing line

In cassava processing lines, dehydration is a crucial step to remove excess moisture from grated or mashed cassava before further processing (e.g., drying, frying, or fermentation). Here, Henan Jinrui, will introduce three common types of cassava dehydration machines used in different cassava products processing lines:

1. Hydraulic Press Dehydrator

Hydraulic Press Dehydrator uses hydraulic pressure to squeeze water out of grated cassava pulp. It can be used to remove moisture before drying in cassava flour production line, and it’s used to dehydrate fermented cassava mash in garri production factory. It has advantage of high efficiency, adjustable pressure and suitable for small scale cassava processing factory.

2. Plate-Frame Filter Press Dehydrator

The plate and frame press dewatering machine is a continuous operation intermittent unloading equipment, usually using a screw pump to squeeze cassava pulp into the plate and frame to complete dewatering. Depending on the production line capacity, two or more plate and frame filter press machines are generally used. Plate and frame filter press have two unloading methods: automatic and manual, and are generally used in large-scale cassava flour production lines. To achieve a relatively good dehydration effect, a diaphragm plate and frame filter press is recommended.

3.Peeler Centrifugal Dehydrator.

Peeler centrifuge is a solid-liquid separation equipment that operates continuously and discharges intermittently. It is used in cassava starch production line for the dehydration of starch milk. After dehydration, wet cassava starch with a moisture content of about 36.5-38% can be obtained. Because of its good efficiency for starch dehydration, it can save energy consumption in later drying stage.
